Maddow says that it’s “100 percent politics free” but I disagree. Obviously this proves the officers are liberals because had they been Republicans they would have just let the stranded mallards fend for themselves on the sidewalk rather than giving them a helping hand to make it over the fence. Kidding… sort of.

… on the advice of lawyers with the White House. Ducks are notorious for insurance fraud and are quick to litigate. That’s why you see the yellow and black markings on the sides of duck ramping, but for some reason only in North America. I read a book about this.
Heh. Yeah, the markings were utterly pointless, as was the whole contraption. Obviously it must happen quite frequently if they went to the trouble of making it… but why?
You’ve got it all wrong, Red. The Secret Service officers are obviously Republican as they believe private charity should take the initiative to help ducks in distress. Were they liberals, they would just make a video of their painful panic and use it as the basis of their campaign for a Duck Transportation Assistance Programme.
Why, RT? — Because of some White Paper from the Carter or Reagan years, I can’t remember which, that presupposed a worst-case scenario where hundreds of ducks were stranded within a short period of time, and they had ramps made specifically for them and that situation. As I recall they made enough to allow for a 30 ducks/min to evacuate the sidewalk under normal air pressure and what-not, but I should have to look back over notes before you quoted me on that. It cost them a bundle to make (typical military contract), not to mention the “deployment training” costs all of this has involved over the years… with every step monitored from the Crisis Room.
