Fake Billionaire to Moderate GOP Debate

News that reality-show host Donald Trump will be “moderating” a post-Christmas Republican “debate” in Iowa gave Lawrence O’Donnell yet another delightful opportunity last night to heap copious amounts of scathing abuse on the obnoxious grifter…

Of course, should the Newsmax-sponsored event actually come to fruition it will definitely be “must-see TV” – but solely as entertainment or horrific spectacle, which speaks volumes about what a pathetic joke these so-called debates have devolved into.

An Anal Cyst Says, What…?

Rush Limbaugh demonstrates, yet again, what an utterly loathsome, hypocritical, morally vacant douchebag he is. No wonder he has such a compelling appeal to countless millions of right-wing “dittoheads”…

By the way, MSNBC did very well hiring former Republican campaign strategist Steve Schmidt as an analyst, don’t you think? His trenchant observations and dry remarks are always a delight.

No More Palin to Kick Around?

We can only dream…

But Lawrence O’Donnell gives us some hope by quite plausibly suggesting that Palin’s recent “mean girl” scraps with other Fox News talent may well be foreboding signs that her days are numbered.

Please, please, please… let it be true! Imagine – Sarah Palin no longer having a platform from which to routinely contaminate the airwaves with her demented lies, conniving fakery, and insufferable twaddle!

Obama’s Debt Ceiling Rope-a-Dope

Perhaps it’s just because he appeals to my deeply cynical inclination regarding politics in general, but MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell seems to be providing the sharpest, most insightful commentary these days concerning the strategic machinations behind all the posturing over raising America’s debt ceiling limit.

Only time will tell whether, as Larry contends, that Obama masterfully outmanoeuvred the Republican leaders in Congress with a judo strategy of turning their fundamentalist supply-side ideology against itself…

Amy Myers v. Michele Bachmann

A 16-year-old sophomore at Cherry Hill High School East in New Jersey has challenged Michele “Crazy Eyes” Bachmann to a debate.

In a letter sent to the congresswoman in April, she wrote: “I, Amy Myers, do hereby challenge Representative Michele Bachmann to a Public Forum Debate and/or Fact Test on The Constitution of the United States, United States History and United States Civics.”

Myers says she has nothing personal against Bachmann – she just thinks her ceaseless stream of gaffes and inaccurate statements are an embarrassment to all women with political ambitions.

“It took until the 19th amendment for women to be able to vote, and now it seems like the most famous women in politics are kind of jokes,” Myers said.

If Bachamnn declines or continues to ignore the request (which she has done so far) now would be a tremendous opportunity to see this plucky student to call out Sarah Palin for the same challenge given the failed veep, half-term governor of Alaska, and Faux News pundit is presently on a mission of “educate” the benighted folk between Washington, D.C. and New England about her own twisted interpretation of the historical roots at the foundation of America.

Update: Here’s another great kid who successfully took on the kooky creationists in Louisiana and has also challenged Michele Bachmann to back up some of her outright fabrications.

Rewriting Socialism

“We have the first time in the history of the profoundly stupid American debate between those who do not fear socialism and those who do, something of an agreement as to what socialism is and isn’t.”

Why Americans can’t accept that the plain fact that they have a mixed economy has always escaped me.

Trump Fires Self, Claims Victory

Almost as completely non-shocking as Fox personality Mike Huckabee’s announcement on Saturday that he wouldn’t be running to be the 2012 Republican nominee, today Donald Trump revealed that he too will not be American’s 45th president.

Not that he wouldn’t have won, of course… you know, had he actually decided to run – at least according to sources inside The Donald’s hair.

“This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country. I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election.”

WTF: Medicare = Slavery?

That’s the curious formulation of Tea Party icon Senator Rand Paul – an intellectually dishonest and deeply unserious assertion of libertarian dogma that Lawrence O’Donnell quite brilliantly deconstructed on his program last week…

Unfortunately, this sort of depraved nonsense is the outcome of the radical libertarian argument carried to its logical extreme… a dialectic not based on facts or evidence, but one that is hypothetically predicated on a dystopian hellscape of the imagination.

Dumping on Trump

Since The Donald announced that he was “seriously thinking” about running for President of the United States, and more particularly since he started breathing new life into the ridiculous “birther” movement, Lawrence O’Donnell at the The Last Word has had a field day skewering the putative billionaire and what Larry vehemently contends is nothing but a shameless publicity stunt.

Last night’s segment may be the best one to date ripping Trump’s credibility (if one can call it that) to shreds.

As entertaining as it would be if Trump did actually run (which I too, seriously doubt), it’s a pretty sad commentary on the catastrophic level of stupefying idiocy that’s evidently rampant within the Republican base that this arrogant, clueless prick is currently leading or coming a strong second in polls amongst various contenders for the G.O.P. nomination.
