I can’t wait for this question to be asked of candidates in the next Prime Ministerial debate: “How many guns do you own?” Can you even conceive of such a thing ever happening?
Seriously, only in America could such a question be regarded as perfectly legitimate, or even perhaps highly relevant to some people, when considering the leadership qualities of individuals vying to be the head of a political party.
RNC Chairman Michael Steele truly is the gift that keeps on giving for the Democrats.
Does anyone believe for a nanosecond that his succession of “gaffes” (which to be fair, sometimes just consisted of telling the truth or not being an extremist whackaloon) were all just clever ploys to reconnoiter the “chessboard” or whatever? I guess that’s why he felt it necessary to make groveling apologies and pathetic clarifications after each one, huh.
After six ballots, former Maryland Lt. Gov., Fox News commenter and dooche Michael Steele edged out South Carolina GOP Chairman Katon Dawson, 91 votes to 77, to become the new chairman of the Republican National Committee.
Obviously, the fact that Steele is the first African-American to hold the post is a significant departure for the Republicans and may be a sign of desperately needed change in the GOP… or maybe not.
