Another Day… Another Shooting Spree

Less than 24 hours after Major Nidal Hasan, an army psychiatrist, shot dead 13 people and wounded 30 others at Fort Hood, a separate shooting incident is unfolding today in Orlando.

The Malkinettes will be disappointed to learn that the gunman in the latest incident wasn’t a Muslim. He is however a Latino… probably a Catholic!

    As was Tim McVeigh.

Hey, can American Catholics be trusted? Are they not clearly ticking time-bombs of anti-American rage?

I hope the FBI is keeping close tabs on Malkin, and on all hysterically angry Philippina Catholics. They’re bound to snap one day…

  2. Omar

With the abundance of rage and weaponry circulating in the good old US of A, I’m surprised these incidents don’t happen more often then they do.

  3. Ti-Guy

and on all hysterically angry Philippina Catholics.

Funny, because she, the only Filipino I have ever known or heard of who can rage like that. They are, as a rule, the cheeriest people on Earth.

Chalk one up to the Great American Melting Pot. If it can turn this petite, brown-skinned Asian Catholic into the equivalent of a tall, lanky, extremely white and blond Protestant from Connecticut (Ann Coulter), it is a formidable force indeed.

    Fuck tags.

RT: Attempted to fix your previous comment. Not sure who you were linking to however. Malkin, I assume. She is kind of anomalous in the level of constant rancor and outrage that she maintains.

(If it’s any consolation, I fuck up quite regularly when it comes to creating links in HTML… Thankfully, I’ve got the luxury in WordPress of going in and editing after the fact to correct my mistakes.)

  5. Omar — Yeah, I suppose that’s the “silver lining” here. Such outbursts could be a lot more frequent. Still, that’s a kind of sad commentary on the situation.

  6. Ti-Guy

Not sure who you were linking to however.

There was a link in there as well? Must have been just crap typing.

  7. Ti-Guy

Oh, hang on…I wrote “Filipino/a,” which, along with the other tag zaniness, must have caused something to look like a link.

    Another mystery…SOLVED!

RT: Indeed. That was what threw me off and suggested there was a link involved.

  8. Heh. Yeah, HTML is dead stupid but remarkably easy to fuck up.

Kind of funny when you consider how generally lax our grammar is — computer code on the other hand forces one to be quite meticulous in getting the syntax precisely correct.

  9. SF — Hey, can American Catholics be trusted? Are they not clearly ticking time-bombs of anti-American rage?

The Catholic League is perpetually outraged about what they perceive as various sacrilegious transgressions (especially from the artistic community), but they’re more laughably ridiculous than seriously threatening.

Extremist Muslims however do seem more deadly earnest (quite literally) in their enmity towards things that offend their religious beliefs…

  10. Ti-Guy

I just found recently that Bill Donohue, Mother Superior of the Catholic League, is divorced. Fucking divorced.

Yeah, you certainly are a model Catholic, Mr. Donohue.

  11. LOL. I did not know that.

    How precious…

    Can’t say I’m altogether surprised… but actually, I am.

I never cease to be amazed by the stinking hypocrisy of these folks.

  12. Ti-Guy

I was surprised, then I wasn’t. Can you imagine anyone putting up with that raging loony for any length of time?

A good Catholic would have gotten an annulment, at least.

  13. I cannot imagine putting up with any sort of religious loon for more than a limited amount of time — their nutastistic train of thought would be completely intolerable to my demonic (i.e., secular humanistic) sensibilities.

Donohue strikes me as a cartoonish character… Kind of like Archie Bunker brought back to life.
