Liberal QP Videos: Finally!

After much whining about the issue from this quarter (amongst possibly many others), kudos to the Liberals for finally getting around to posting a video on their YouTube channel that properly reflects the full back and forth exchange in Question Period rather than simply posting their question only; a self-serving (but completely useless and frustrating practice) that effectively left viewers to wonder with uninformed puzzlement about the possible answer (or most likely, non-answer) from the government side of the House in response…

A subsequent one featuring an exchange between Pablo Rodriguez and Dean Del Mastro followed the same format, so that shows some promise that they might continue in this way on a regular basis in future.

I like Helena Guergis’s new “up do.” It’s says “I’m unapologetically a woman, I’m confident and I don’t care what you think about my husband’s arrest for cocaine possession.”

…”or whether you think I’ve been dipping into the supply.”

Now, now. I’m sure she considers her body a temple.

Damn straight. And that temple once blessed Kitchener’s “Miss Oktoberfest” pageant. Chartres, eat your heart out, baby.

And that temple once blessed Kitchener’s “Miss Oktoberfest” pageant.

This is rather boiteux. Things are usually blessed within a temple.

Now how would I use that to further impugn the reputation of an adversary, a former beauty queen, by alluding to something blessed, or honoured or worshipped inside of her?

    …Well, I got nothing….

Naw. That’s just typical can’t-do, status quo, inside-the-box Liberal defeatism talking. Haven’t Guergis and the rest of “Canada’s New Government” taught you how not to give a shit about the way reality actually works?

Given that our defamatory trajectory has already included references to cocaine, beauty pageants, and political ambition, I rather doubt if this matter can be concluded without someone finding a suitable way to insert the word “blow” into it, frankly.

I believe we should allow Austin to do the honours, if he can be borrowed on secondment from the Maniacal Butchers of the British Raj Appreciation Society for a minute or two.

Well I haven’t been persuaded but I’ll tell you, I’ve been wondering lately if the DSM might not soon include a new mental health affliction: Rational Personality Disorder.

  8. Right. Because Helena Guergis’ hair is an important political matter.

As for dragging the legal troubles of MPs into political debate, one can say what they will about Rahim Jaffer. Michael Bryant actually killed someone.

  9. Patrick Ross – lighten up. Fact is, if the allegations are true about Jaffer he could have easily killled someone – he got caught before an accident happened.

Also, there’s the hypocracy (typical right) of Jaffer doing anti-drug ads

Guergis has been lucky – the oppositions parties decided to leave her alone on the matter- do you really believe the Harper bobbleheads would do the same?

The Liberals might want have considered cutting Flaherty’s final jab that they have no policy on pension reform, which is more or less the truth.

…like remarking on how his attack ad against his opponents for their permissive attitude toward pot smoking reveals an astonishing level of hypocrisy.

I got nothing Francis, I can not work it in without taking it way to far.

  13. Omar — I’m happy to give them points for actually including that final jab even though it reflected negatively on the LPC.
