Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet?

From Liberal Video: “Michael addresses a huge crow [sic] of supporters in Surrey, B.C.” Hmmm. I wonder if a “crow of supporters” is like a gang of elk or a flock of sheep?

Anyway, let’s hope that unfortunately titled BTO tune doesn’t become standard fare for the campaign.

  1. Yay. Another big meaningless wank about global trade and how Canadians are so gosh darn talented.

Nic Nanos is coming out with a poll tomorrow showing the Conservatives up, or so he said on the radio today.

When even Nanos has the Conservatives up you know you’ve got the makings of a trend…

Michael has started the campaign. The rock is now inexorably moving down the hill.

If the LPC spurts in the polls, the NDP will think twice about voting against the government, but if the polls show a lack of Liberal momentum, the NDP has no reason not to continue voting against the government.

This is going to be fun. And the multiplier on elections is like 2.3. (I just made that up, so don’t crap on me. Get it, don’t “crap” on me…heheh) Consider it economic stimulus for a troubled economy!

    Here’s Nic Nanos’ latest numbers:

    Conservatives 37.5 percent (committed voters)

    Liberals 33.4 percent.

A month earlier Nanos had the Liberals ahead by 2.5 points.

    NDP 14.8 percent

    Bloc 9.7 percent

    Greens 4.6 percent.

  5. Those numbers don’t surprise me. I’d like to know what the percentage of undecided/uncommitted voters is. That’s where the election will get decided.

  6. Drake

According to the poll, one in four voters are now undecided, up from one out of six, which is pretty high.

1,003 Canadians surveyed Aug. 25th to Sept. 3rd.

When Harper got enough votes to force an election on the Martin Liberals he was behind in the polls so I don’t think deciding to go to an election may neccesarily be a bad idea for Ignatieff.

But if doesn’t have something cracker up his sleeve…

That poll does not really have the LPC moving at all, though a big leap for the CPC.

I guess it is all over for the liberals now. They might as well just start caving again. That should bring their numbers up. 🙂

By the way, that song is totally stuck in my head now.

Michael Ignatieff is going to surprise a lot of people and I predict a MAJORITY government for the Liberals. And I will come back here and tell all of you naysayers I TOLD YOU SO 🙂

Harper is hated everywhere and I also predict that he will repeat Kim Campbell’s performance in the 1993 election and wipe out the Cons for good.

I think it’s great that Iggy is appealing to the Chinese and Indian communities and it’s a good thing for Canada to increase trade with these two countries. Only racist white males are against free trade and diversity 🙂

  11. Right. And only neoliberals pretend that free trade isn’t a massive theft from the non-whites of the world and isn’t causing global cultural homogenization.

    neoliberal…..ummm…..nevermind……too easy.
