    This is not satire or parody! I know tons of parents like that.

    Give me the good old days…my parents were ecstatic when we left for university and we were glad to get away from them.

    Personally, I couldn’t be bothered to snoop on what my kids are up to.

    A few years ago, I think it was the University of Manitoba had a serious problem with invasive parents. They had a great solution! On the first day the students turned up to move into their dorms, someone from the university was waiting at the front door. No parent past the front door. Then, they gave the parent a potted geranium to take care of during the school year!

    CBC Radio did a story on this a few years ago. It was hysterical! Some of these parents are nuts. One wanted to know if she could take notes (in class) for her daughter, if her daughter couldn’t make class. (How humiliating for the student.)
