Nice to see that our government is so firmly seized with the “greatest economic crisis in a generation” that their MPs spend a good deal of their time dishing out petty personal smears at the Opposition leader and field testing themes from the negative attack ads being cooked up in their “war room”…
Normally, it would be easy to laugh off such partisan nonsense — keeping in mind that all parties have engaged in such antics in the past — but is now really the time for these moronic slander-fests? Grow up and start acting like adults, for heaven’s sake.
Impolitical puts it best:
Exposure of this juvenile extravaganza can only help to demonstrate to Canadians the character of these Conservatives who can actually bring themselves to stand up in the House of Commons as elected members and read such garbage.
Indeed. It’s too bad that their most ardent supporters, rather than castigating them for such ridiculous and irresponsible behaviour, instead cheer them on with great enthusiasm. Useless pricks, the lot of them.

Who is that? Divine?
Uncanny, isn’t it?
I just remember that fat retard whining during last year’s ethics committee hearings on the In-and-Out scandal (which the Conservatards turned into a circus) that he was raised a Catholic and therefore would not put up with Pat Martin’s potty mouth.
I wanted to jam a crucifix into his face when he said that.
Gawd as my witness, I see Del Mastro holding a small dog*, I’m never clicking a video link on this site again.
Mike
(*for the John Waters fans)
Ok, actually he sounds like Divine too….
Speaking of the ol’ In-n-Out, I heard that the Cons are dropping that clever bit of accounting in their campaign financing from here on in. Is that a tacit admission that it was wrong to launder money like that in the first place? And where does their case against Elections Canada stand these days?
Where’s the Beef?
I prefer Del Mastro Benny Hillified.
Is that a tacit admission that it was wrong to launder money like that in the first place? And where does their case against Elections Canada stand these days?
Who knows? Perhaps a journalist could look into that, although they are very busy giving each other hand jobs these days.
What is that aphorism?
“It take a crisis to get the measure of a man” or something to that effect …
(I have been lurking here the last few weeks and even I must say that I have been shocked speechless …. have you seen the NBC TODAY Show Report on the Tent City emerging in Sacramento?)
ATY — Yeah, I posted the video the other day. Shocking, isn’t it?
How’s this for CONservative priorities:
Harper plays political games, using the unemployed as his latest pawns
Childishly, and with callous disregard to Canadians who lost their jobs in the recession that Harper said would never happen, he laid a trap for the Liberals and the Liberals in the Senate…….it didn’t however work as planned…to advance Harper’s political image at the expense of unemployed Canadians:
Subject: Just the Facts: EI Benefits under the Budget Implementation Act
. Mr. Flaherty’s appearance before the Senate National Finance Committee yesterday alongside his departmental advisors brought to light an important part of this legislation that in the six weeks since the Budget, the government has failed to disclose.
. Buried inside this omnibus bill is a provision that allows the five-week extension of EI benefits to be applied retroactively from the date the bill receives royal assent by approximately two weeks.
. This is contradicted by the budget, which has no funding identified for extended EI benefits before March 31st (page 121) and the government’s own accountability report at page 74 which states that “Funding to Flow/Benefits Available – April.”
. The passage of this bill will ensure that eligibility for extended EI benefits will be available immediately.
. The provision itself reads:
Coming into Force
231. (1) Subsection 224(1) is deemed to have come into force on the second Sunday before the day on which this Act receives royal assent.

The Conservatives never let an opportunity to denegrate another Member of Parliament. They remind me of someone employed in an ancient torture chamber. This man is a snivler — He and Van Loon and Kenny make a wonderful threesome. Thank goodness for my remote channel changer.
He and Van Loon and Kenny make a wonderful threesome
They would also make one hell of a main attraction in professional wrestling. The Husky Boys in the square circle.
Now I have that commercial of the sumo wrestlers washing the kia in my head except the sumo wrestlers are Del Mastro, Van Loon and Kenney.
Unfortunately, Del Mastro is MP in the next riding to mine and he is a total partisan jerk.
Peterborough must be proud or stupid.
This portly partisan seemed greatly entertained by his own gibberish.I doubt he wrote it by himself and I venture it was the first time he laid eyes on the piece.(piss ?)
I almost wish I lived in a Conservative riding, so that when one of these fuckwits knocks on my door come election time, I can have at ‘em.
That said, I’m in a pretty safe Liberal riding, and the Con candidate didn’t even canvass our neighborhood last time.
This pinhead sits on the standing heritage committee. I was one of the people who spoke at the hearings they had about the changes at the CBC, back when they cut the radio orchestra and such.
Even though there were a majority of cons on the committee, he was by far the most partisan and condesending hack of them all. A first rate poltroon…..not that ya didn’t all know already.
Well, if you’re less than impressed with Del Mastro’s talents as an MP, get ready for his next audition. Word is he is thinking of running for the leadership of the Ontario PC’s to replace Tory.
That would be hilarious to watch. The man is an idiot.
The man is an idiot.
Then he’s a shoo-in.
Then he’s a shoo-in.
No kidding. I keep thinking the public is going to get smarter the more the outrages come to light, but they’re not. They’re getting dumber.
Aiiie!
Poltroon… very fitting. I must use that word more often.
“Poltroon very fitting. I must use that word more often”
I was JUST thinking the same thing!… Loved the use of it – Very Menckenian! Love it!
