Good Questions — No Answers

Okay, it has to be admitted that the vids are entirely skewed in terms of presentation, but what rational response could have been provided?

To paraphrase Desi Arnez, this government has some ‘splainin’ to do…

Update: If you have any reasonable or rationale objections to the budget, then you’re nothing but a lousy WHINER! Thus spake her holiness, St. Sandy the Sanctimonious of the Immaculate Holy Crux, from the sanctity of her devotional shrine to the DIVINE LEADER® (patent pending).

  1. Dunning-Kruger effect seems like a rational answer to me

  2. Wow. You learn something new every day.

I need to digest that for a bit…

  3. Tomm

The Dunning Kruger Affect… an affliction of many political bloggers.

Of course, our host would be excluded from that list.

By the way RT, I’m not sure I catch your drift. Ignatieff and Kennedy ask questions and this is some sort of … revelation? Is there a Part B I’m missing?

  4. Tomm — Part B would be the answers, but I’m not entirely certain what those were or would have been. My “point” was simply to highlight a couple of highly pertinent questions raised by the Opposition. The Conservatives have yet to explain either of them away… Although I’m sure you can do that — being as you’re so adept at rationalizing anything these witless clowns do under the “Conservative” banner.

  5. Ha! The Cruxster deleted my pingback. What a fascist cunt.

  6. Tomm

You are so right. I should be getting paid to rationalize the actions of Canada’s government.

Being one with Sid Ryan, (we share the same brain), I think I will join in solidarity with the York strikers and myself go on strike until the government of Canada reinstitutes my Conservative Apologist Stipend.

No tremendous, articulate wonderful answers to stupid Liberal questions until I get paid. In fact I may even demand back pay for all the wonderful answers and explanations I have already provided to people like Ti-Guy, Jay, KEvron and yourself.

It’s tiring having to keep myself from getting snarky when the witless collides with the pretentious, as it does so often from the Liberal benches of Parliament.

  7. Ataboy Tomm! Goodness knows, I’m paid handsomely to address the bone idle queries, stupefyingly dull arguments, and witless talking points of brain-addled wingnuts.

  8. Tomm

We can both go on strike.

Start posting more Richard Dawkins and we can begin intelligent discussions about things that are not in response to “witless talking points of brain-addled wingnuts” (and the occassional moonbat).

I’ve also lost all ability to accept input from Danny Williams. He is truly a boil on the butt of this great nation and his Newfoundland groupies have apparently lost all sense of proportion, given the comments on CBC today.

  9. This brief interregnum of politics will pass quickly enough… the budget will be passed with admendments and everyone will have their pissy little hoo-ha over it and then we’ll get back to more interesting and discursive fare.

  10. Tomm

I’ll trust you, and also get a good nights sleep.

The world will look better in the morning (unless its 30 below).

  11. Oddly enough, I have no problem sleeping. The wonder is that I ever wake up. That’s always something that mildly astounds me on a daily basis because I quite fully expect not to, or at least I should say that I wouldn’t be at all surprised by my sudden non-existence… you know if I were “alive” in some form or other post facto to make such a wry observation.

  12. Tomm

    RT,

    You exist. No surprise.

All animals and plants have a built in mechanism to maintain life. It’s amazing how hard the body works to not end itself.

I’m sure you have relatives or friends (like I do) that have incredably strong constitutions. Their body continues to function when cognitively, they wish life to end.

Your poetic view of life’s continuation is worth thinking about. Certainly far less grim than the Mormon view of “celestial marriage”.

  13. “I’m sure you have relatives or friends (like I do) that have incredably strong constitutions.”

Prunes, beans that’ll keep that constitution strong.

  14. CWTF

Prunes, beans that’ll keep that constitution strong.
How would it be amendment without opening the Charter of Rights?

  15. Different sort of constitution.
