Maddow: Blagojevich Prep Session

Well, this should be interesting. Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is going to be appearing on Rachel Maddow’s show tomorrow. In the meantime, she cruises through some of the interviews already carried out on his media blitz while the state Senate in Springfield is busy impeaching him.

This guy is really the gift that keeps on giving — at least for the media. And just for fun, here’s Shepard Smith’s “Mystery Science Theatre” routine from last week where he talked over the Governor’s deranged presser.

You’ve gotta love Shep, he’s one of the few bright sparks at Fox News.

  1. Blues Clair

Like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Blagojevich needs to start a blog, Blago’s Blog. Reach the good people of Illinois, unfiltered, from all those who pursue him…

What a show. When defense attorney Ed Genson resigns from a case, you wonder.

  2. I’d heard that his lawyer quit the other day, but had forgotten that it was fast Eddie. So yes, that does indeed make you wonder.

  3. counter-coulter

I was watching the bobble-heads on HardBall (yes, a weakness of mine) discussing what Blago’s up to with his “media tour”. I think I have to agree with their general assessment that he’s trying to push his case to the public in hopes of influencing public opinion and potential jurors. That’s about the only thing that makes any sense considering the prima facie evidence against him.

  4. That’s definitely what he’s doing. Calling on the Tribune editorial board to inveigh on his behalf was pretty rich, considering that attempting to blackmail them into firing someone is one of the charges against him.

The guy has balls, you can’t deny that.
