Small Change

And the point of this election was… what? Something about an allegedly “dysfunctional” parliament, wasn’t it?

Shouldn’t Stephen Harper be viciously punished at the ballot box for breaking his own “fixed” legislation and calling a completely POINTLESS election trying to win his long-coveted majority (unlikely to materialize) while attempting to beat out the leading edge of a major recession?

Update: What he said. Dishonest, irresponsible, and unfit to govern.

Yes, if the universe was “fair” Harper would be punished for the illegal election call and many more things … including this sleeper issue:

    a little ancient history ….
The Walkerton bad-water scandal happened during Mike Harris’ first term and he won reelection before it really blew up. It was certainly one of the many issues that defeated his party the next time they went to the polls (after Harris had handed over his sinking ship to the hapless Ernie Eves).

These guys ain’t really made of Teflon, it just takes a while (too long!) to stick when the media is busy covering the “Seinfeld” election issues.

  3. The political math in Canada is out there. You just have to know how to crunch the numbers.

Such a bold prediction. I hope you didn’t bet any cash money on that, ATY.

  6. You guys have been crying in your soup over a Majority for how many weeks now?

Harper has too much negative baggage. Even a preternaturally weak leader like Dion cannot off-set the shit that Stevie wears around his neck.

As usual, you all underestimate the number of alienated tories and other unaffiliated voters in this day and age.

We live in an age of Minority Governments. I still maintain that.

  7. Who’s “you guys”? I’ve never boo-hooed over a majority or subscribed to the “ABC” so-called strategy.
